The Edge of the Seat
Say this to the subject
“Sit tall at first, then let your shoulders soften. Sit on the chair's edge, lean to one side, brace with one hand, and look away cautiously. Keep your eyes looking off-camera, expectant.”
Photographer cue: Sit right on the edge of the chair, leaning your weight significantly to one side. Brace yourself by pressing one hand firmly into the chair's armrest while clenching your other hand into a tight fist on your lap. Twist your torso slightly and turn your head to look away as if anticipating someone's arrival. Maintain a rigid, guarded posture throughout.
