Centrifugal Spin Motion
Say this to the subject
“Start still, then make one clean, unhurried movement. Pivot on one foot with arms flared to suggest a spinning motion. Keep your eyes tracking the direction of movement, slightly blurred.”
Photographer cue: Pivot on one foot as if in the middle of a fast spin. Let your arms flare out slightly to suggest the centrifugal force. Your gaze should follow the rotation, capturing the fluid energy of the movement.
How did this work?
Pose DNA
The usable structure behind the pose.
- Position
- Movement
- Body angle
- Rotating view
- Hands
- Held slightly away from the body to show the force of rotation
- Head / gaze
- Tilted slightly, following the path of the spin · Tracking the direction of movement, slightly blurred
- Expression
- Immersion in the physical sensation of the spin
- Difficulty
- Level 5 — Advanced
- Model experience
- Requires ability to maintain pose while spinning
- Composition
- Circular energy suggested by limb placement and slight motion blur.
