The Sculptural Spiral
Say this to the subject
“Settle comfortably and stay long through the top of your head. Kneel and twist your torso to look back over your shoulder, creating a spiral shape. Keep your eyes looking back over the shoulder toward the camera.”
Photographer cue: Kneel on one knee with the other foot planted forward. Twist your torso 90 degrees away from your legs and look back over your shoulder toward the camera. This creates a spiral torsion in your body. Keep your hands resting naturally on your thigh and maintain a focused gaze.
