The Lateral Shift
Say this to the subject
“Start still, then make one clean, unhurried movement. Shift weight to one side and reach out for balance. Keep your eyes following the line of the extended arm..”
Photographer cue: Shift your weight onto your right leg and lean your torso slightly to the left. Extend your left arm out as if balancing. Tilt your head slightly and look towards your extended hand. Keep the movement fluid.
