Protective Embrace
Say this to the subject
“Let your weight settle into one leg and keep the other knee easy. Stand hugging yourself tightly, looking down and away with a vulnerable expression. Keep your eyes directed downwards and away from the camera, eyes soft and introspective..”
Photographer cue: Stand with your body at a three-quarter angle. Wrap both arms tightly around your torso as if hugging yourself for comfort. Tilt your head forward and slightly to the side, tucking your chin. Cast your gaze downward and away from the lens to convey a sense of internal vulnerability. Keep your feet close together and slightly angled.
